This week our Sales Representative, Sean O’Connor, was invited by the Chemistry Team at Ousedale School, Newport Pagnell, to give their Year 12 students a talk on the 30 years since he was sitting in their seats as a young 17 year old with no idea where his Chemistry A-Level could take him.

 

Sean discussed starting in the flavour industry where he performed titrations on the bench, environmental monitoring, designing lab robots, then moving from the lab to sales, all whilst gaining a BSc and MSc part time, finally arriving at his ultimate role at Verulam Scientific.  The students were polite and asked great questions at the end of the session and were a credit to their school.
