How do I place an order?

There are several ways to place an order: Online at, by email at [email protected], by contacting your local Sales Representative, or by calling us at +44 (0)1234 381 000.

Can I use a Purchase Order Number on Web Shop Orders?

Yes, for those who would like to order via the web shop we have added a section where you can add a PO and request to be invoiced by accounts or continue to pay by card.

What are my payment options?

Please send a purchase order including your quotation number to place an order, or if you wish to pay by card, our accounts department can send a payment link over email using SumUp. Please note that card transactions will incur an additional 3% charge.

Do you have a minimum order?

We appreciate all orders, so Verulam Scientific has no minimum order requirement. Occasionally, a supplier may require a minimum and you will be advised of this at the time of your order.

Do you charge VAT?

Where applicable, a 20% VAT charge will apply. If you are VAT exempt, we must have a valid vat exemption certificate on file. Please email your certificate to [email protected] for the attention of Accounts.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes, if this is arranged beforehand. Please check with your Sales or Customer Service Representative to arrange a convenient day and time. All collections are from our head office; Verulam Scientific, Unit 6 Appley Court, Appley Wood Corner, Haynes, Bedfordshire, MK45 3QQ. Our office is open from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm for customer pickup.

If I place an order today, when will it ship out?

Please allow 2-4 weeks delivery/lead time after placing all orders via our Web Shop, however, if the items are in stock these will be shipped next day delivery.

For non-Web Shop orders placed directly with your local Sales Representatives, these are subject to manufacturers lead times and may vary. Please liaise with your Sales Representatives at time of purchase. If the item is out of stock, an expected ship date will be given.

How do I return a product?

Verulam Scientific places priority on customer satisfaction and believes that our products are of the highest quality on the market. If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, please let us

know how we can make it right. We’ll do whatever it takes to fix the problem. All we ask is that you request a Return Authorisation at +44 (0)1234 381 000 or [email protected]. Please note that there may be some restrictions on certain products such as custom or special-order items, expired, refrigerated, radioactive or DEA regulated materials, open liquids, chemicals, or reagents. What happens if a product I order is damaged in shipment?

Can I order products not listed online?

Yes! We have access to most of our supplier’s complete product lines. Our Sales Representatives are happy to help you source the product you need. See Special & Custom Orders.

I order the same items frequently. Can I get them shipped automatically on a regular basis?

You can place a blanket order for up to a year with us, specifying the amounts and dates you want shipped. Special arrangements can be made.

Why do I get a reference number?

The reference number is an internal number that we assign to your order. It assists us in locating your order if you need to discuss it with us. When contacting us, you can refer to either the reference number or your purchase order number.

How do I get a discount?

Our marketing team offer many special discounts throughout the year, please follow our social media platforms to avoid missing out. You can also speak to your local Sales Representative to request this.

Whenever possible, we will try to give you a discount on both online and offline orders.

How long do you guarantee your prices? If you receive a quotation from us, the pricing will be honoured for 60 days unless otherwise agreed upon.

Do you service/maintain the products you sell?
