Automated Solutions for your Mycotoxin Analysis

Mycotoxins are hazardous to health and are present worldwide. To safely put food or feed into circulation, defined limit values must be continuously monitored, which requires reliable analysis including reliable sample preparation.

LCTech offers several automated options for mycotoxin analysis. Discover the option that is right for you!

FREESTYLE CrossTOX®   18 mycotoxins in one fell swoop!

Many foods and feed are contaminated with more than one mycotoxin, which makes multi-mycotoxin screening necessary. A simple, fast procedure can be carried out reproducibly and reliably by means of automated sample processing. Matrix depletion, thanks to CrossTOX column technology, is achieved by means of non-dispersive SPE, which guarantees effective purification to reduce matrix interference.

The FREESTYLE for CrossTOX® offers an automated, reproducible and robust method for sample preparation of multi-mycotoxin analysis, which can be run unsupervised, around the clock. The FREESTYLE system offers two options for the automated processing of the CrossTOX® columns:

  • From the crude extract to the purified sample or
  • From crude extract to chromatogram with HPLC Direct Injection

Benefits

  • Analyse a variety of matrix groups, such as grains, nuts, dried fruits and feed
  • CrossTOX column technology matrix removal ensures increased instrument uptime along with increased sensitivity
  • End-to-end analysis for walk away operation

FREESTYLE ThermELUTE™ – Minimal labour for maximised sample throughput

The FREESTYLE ThermELUTE™ enables fully automated sample preparation for the analysis of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2 and M1 as well as ochratoxin A and zearalenone in all regulated matrices.

Equipped with the SPE and ThermELUTE modules™, the FREESTYLE can be combined with any HPLC system resulting in automation from raw extract to finished chromatogram.

The extracted, diluted and filtered sample is placed on the high-performance SMART column via the FREESTYLE system. After washing, the ThermELUTE module heats the column and the bond between toxin and antibody is broken (thermally denatured). The toxins are eluted in large volumes as aqueous eluate directly into the HPLC sample loop and transferred to the HPLC column and analysed.

Benefits

  • High sample throughput
  • No losses due to evaporation or adsorption
  • Minimised solvent requirement
  • Sample adjustment to the HPLC mobile phase is not necessary

FREESTYLE SPE Mycotoxin – Round the clock unattended processing

Save working time and increase your throughput with unattended processing on the FREESTYLE SPE around the clock.

Compliance with the limit values and their control can be achieved through the FREESTYLE SPE, a robust, precise, flexible device for laboratory automation. Whether 6mL, 3 mL or 1 mL columns, all standard column types and glass columns can be processed on the device and is adaptable to specific matrix protocols and applications.

Following SPE and/or EVAporation the DirectInjection module will inject samples directly into the HPLC for end-to-end analysis.

Benefits

  • Suitable for standard formats 1 mL, 3 mL and 6 mL (manufacturer-independent)
  • Guaranteed cross-contamination-free, thanks to efficient rinsing mechanisms
  • Positive pressure up to 4 bar and non-stop policy ensures reliable and reproducible sample preparation
