Managing epilepsy involves monitoring medication patients take, how it affects them, seizure frequency, and severity. This is a way of seeing if your treatment is working.

The aim of epilepsy treatment is to stop seizures happening and so accurate measurement in plasma or blood is essential for finding the optimal therapy.
