Verulam Scientific are an expanding analytical sales and service company offering state of the art scientific instruments in laboratory environments. We are a small friendly company who wish to engage a part-time Service Administrator at our offices near Shefford, Beds.  The successful candidate will join a small team in a varied role that you can develop in your own way. We are willing to discuss flexible hours but based upon 25 hours per week.

We would welcome applications from experienced applicants who are looking for a role with flexible working hours to fit in with parental and/or other duties.

Ideally you will have worked in an administrative role in the past and have some knowledge of the scientific environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Logging customer fault calls and scheduling engineer visits
  • Arranging engineer travel, including booking hotels and flights
  • Providing up to date information on repairs and services
  • Processing engineer service reports
  • Preparing estimates for repair visits
  • Liaising with customer sites regarding engineers and equipment access
  • Preparing quotations and renewal reminders for service contracts
  • Creating and maintaining service contracts
  • Regular reporting on contracts and service jobs
  • General administration duties

Requirements:

Suitable candidates should:

  • Have good written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Good data analysis skills
  • Full working knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Reliable, responsible, and organised.

We offer you:

  • Salary based on experience but in the region £18,000.
  • Company laptop
