The DECADE Elite ECD is ready to work with any HPLC system on the market. It can handle the fast eluting peaks often encountered in UHPLC and with Antec’s proprietary small volume SenCell™ it is compatible with capillary and nano LC as well. The DECADE Elite with its dedicated flow cells is by far the most sensitive electrochemical detector by today’s standards.
Today Verulam Scientific Limited team members Lucy Gaskell and Paul Stephens have both taken part in a very important, AED – Automated External Defibrillator demonstration at our head office in Haynes, Bedfordshire.
Electrochemical detection (ECD) for HPLC or UHPLC / UPLC is an extremely selective and sensitive detection technique that is applied in several analyses such as the neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin and noradrenalin, or analytes such as 5HIAA, catecholamines and metanephrines. ECD has an enormous linear dynamic range of more than 6 orders of magnitude. This means that concentrations can be measured as low as 50 pmole/L and as high as 100 µlmol/L or more.
