In many applications and industries the manual weighing of low milligram powders is necessary. This is both time consuming and prone to errors. The Dosing Mate from Bioyond Robotics enables high-accuracy automated powder handling in a compact benchtop platform. It supports unattended, 24/7 powder handling for R&D and analytical laboratories, improving consistency, efficiency and throughput. With optional capper/decapper unit and liquid dosing module in the same compact platform there is a Dosing Mate configuration for most applications.
The Dosing Mate is integrated with Mettler Toledo’s patented dispensing and weighing dosing head technology. Incorporating an XPR 226 balance with powder dosing module, powders can be accurately dispensed at mg levels with high repeatability.
A dosing head rack stores up to 30 powders and 3 SBS trays store up to 72 vials (2 mL) for powder dispensing. An angle adjustable balance adaptor has been developed for zero powder loss.
Dosing head and vial transfer is controlled by the LabMate Polar robotic arm, an intelligent material handling robot designed for a wide range of laboratory applications.

The Dosing Mate is controlled by BioyondStudio® a powerful, versatile, and user-friendly lab automation software platform. The software enables direct control of Dosing Mate modules, easy interface for quick experiment setup, and effective management of exceptions (collision, missing vial, instrument failure). When an exception occurs an email notification can be sent to the end user so that errors can be corrected immediately.
