Events🌟 Verulam Scientific are Exhibiting at “Advances in the Chemical Analysis of Food V” 🌟

7 April 2026by verulam

We are delighted to announce that Verulam Scientific will be exhibiting at the fifth biannual Advances in the Chemical Analysis of Food V meeting, taking place on 24th April at Burlington House, London.

This important one‑day meeting brings together researchers, analysts, and industry experts to discuss how separation science and advanced analytical technologies ensure the food we consume is safe, authentic, nutritious, and high‑quality. We’re excited to contribute to this year’s scientific programme.

🔬 Oral Presentation
We’re pleased to share that:
Thijs Mulder (Antec Scientific) will be delivering an oral presentation at the event.
We look forward to sharing insights into advanced electrochemical detection and carbohydrate analysis workflows.

📊 Poster Presentations
We will have two poster contributions:

  1. The Sweet and Bitter Truth of Honey: Detecting Adulteration Using HPAEC‑PAD
  2. Gluten Intolerance Triggered by Fructans: A Sensitive Method for the Analysis of Fructans Using HPAEC‑PAD

These posters highlight how high‑performance anion‑exchange chromatography coupled with pulsed amperometric detection (HPAEC‑PAD) provides exceptional sensitivity for food authenticity and carbohydrate analysis.

🏛️ Who We Represent
Verulam Scientific proudly represents leading technology providers including:
Antec Scientific – Innovators in electrochemical detection and creators of the SWEETSEP column for high‑resolution carbohydrate separation.
LCTech – Experts in automated sample preparation and extraction. Their FREESTYLE automated SPE system delivers efficient, hands‑free workflows for mycotoxins and other food contaminants.

Our team will be on hand throughout the day to discuss how these technologies can support your food analysis challenges.

👋 Meet the Team
Representing Verulam Scientific at the event:
Dr Andrew Reeder • Borys Banecki • Thijs Mulder (Antec Scientific)
We look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new colleagues from across the food analysis community.
