SweetSepTM 2.1mm Inner Diameter (ID) Carbohydrate Column: Fast, sensitive, accurate lactose analysis

 

Dairy products, such as milk, cheese and yoghurt, are important sources of vitamins and minerals for a healthy well-balanced diet. Lactose, the natural sugar found in dairy products is metabolised in the intestines by the enzyme lactose into glucose and galactose. Lactose intolerance, experienced by many adults, is caused by the inability to digest lactose due to the reduction of intestinal lactase. In response to this there are many lactose-free products on the market. Accurate labelling and reliable analytical testing of these products for residual lactose is critical for consumer safety and regulatory compliance.
