Solvent-free matrix deposition through sublimation presents numerous advantages compared to conventional spraying techniques.

  • Spatial Resolution: Sublimation achieves minimal crystal sizes in the nanometer range.
  • Reduced Delocalization: Eliminating the liquid phase during the matrix deposition process helps retain more spatial information in samples.
  • Efficiency: The matrix layer can be applied in a single, streamlined process.

The HTX SubliMATE is a durable and user-friendly MALDI matrix deposition system designed for the controlled and reproducible sublimation of the tiniest matrix crystals, enabling sub-micron resolution mass spectrometry imaging.

Features:

  • Controlled Heating: Utilizing a ceramic heater, the HTX SubliMATE provides consistent and rapid heating up to 300°C, allowing a variety of MALDI matrices to be sublimated (e.g., CHCA, DAN, DHAP, DHB, NEDC, etc.).
  • Multiple Cooling Options: A universal cooling top enables cooling with standard or dry ice down to -78°C, facilitating the production of ultra-small matrix crystals smaller than 1 micron.
  • High-Throughput Homogeneous Matrix Deposition: The proprietary Matrix Wafer ensures uniform matrix layer coating across a large area, accommodating up to four slides.

HTX Sublimator – This automated MALDI matrix deposition system prioritizes speed, reproducibility, and the creation of the smallest crystals for sub-micron resolution mass spectrometry imaging.

Features:

  • Custom Vacuum Chamber: The HTX Sublimator boasts a rectangular vacuum chamber that quickly establishes sublimation conditions, maximizing efficiency in preparing MS samples for imaging.
  • Timer-Controlled Sublimation Step: With electronic controls and predefined matrix deposition protocols, it guarantees reproducibility from sample to sample and optimal matrix surface quality. Validated protocols are available for DHB, CHCA, SA, DAN, 9-AA, and Norha.
